Halloween 2006

Why do Iowa people call it "Beggars Night"? That sounds like a negative thing to me. When I first heard that I expected to find homeless people at my front door. I think "trick-or-treating" sounds much better. Just another little thing I'm not used to in Iowa I guess.

So, Amy and I carved our pumpkins last Wednesday and got them out on our deck for Halloween. They turned out nice. On Saturday I met Luke and some of his buddies at Tower Park and played flag football for a couple hours. Later that day Ricky got into town and I went over to Dereks and we skateboarded on his trampoline for a while and then I picked up Amy and we went to Okoboji for a quick dinner. That night was Dereks party. Everyone dressed up, there was lots of great beer, and lots of good food. Derek and Kari had their entire house decorated with lights, shulls, and cobwebs which was awesome.

On Sunday Luke and I went to Action Jacks for their Freddy vs. Jason big game. They opened up all 3 wooded courses into one big course and gave us 4 one hour missions during the day with 30 minute breaks between. It was so much different then a normal day out there. People were coming at you from all sides. There was no safe place to hide out in. You had to keep moving or get shot. The best part was that once you did get shot all you had to do was get back to base and you were back in the game or find a medic and you were back in the game.

Now I am really sore and tired.

Also, I took my car in to find out what was making noise in the front by my brakes. I thought it was my CV joint but they said it looked fine and that my rotors were both really warped bad and thats where the noise was coming from. I opted to do the work myself and get better parts than the Ford lot would put on. I ordered EBC Sport Rotors for the front and an getting Hawk HP + pads. Hopefully I can get them on this Saturday.
