On Friday Amy and I finally had our house warming party. We had a bunch of people over to hang out, eat some food, and drink some beer. The weather was perfect so we could be outside and in the garage. I picked up a dart board on Thursday so people could play in the garage and so I can get better at it. Nehru brought a few bottles of Diet Coke and some Mentos and we tested the Diet Coke + Mentos experiment. Its true, it makes a big mess. We got some really nice gifts and nice bottles of liquor. Thank you very much for everyone for coming over. It was a lot of fun.

On Saturday Mediacom finally came back out and got our cable/internet working. They came last week and wired the house, but told us the box outside was broken and that they would have to come back later to fix it. Apparently they came out and fixed but didn't activate our house or something. Everything is up and working now. That afternoon Amy, Kevi, and I went to The Iowa State Fair. This was Amy's first visit to the fair. Again, the weather was perfect all day. I had a smoked turkey leg, frozen banana dipped in chocolate, and a funnel cake. So good. We walked around and checked out the livestock, the cultural center, and, of course, saw the butter cow.

On Sunday Amy had to work all day so Kevi and I went on a 3.5 mile jog around Urbandale. That afternoon I straightened up the house from the party and met Kevi at Taki for sushi.

FYI - I'm going to have to have another party to get rid of the beer that was left in the fridge. :)
