Jordan and Bethany Wedding Weekend
posted by: Zach Larson on 07-24-2006
Amy and I headed out of Des Moines Thursday afternoon to go down to Peoria, IL to meet up with Aaron and Cassie. We all rode in the my car to Indiana for the wedding. We went out to this cajun restaurant called Po Boys and had alligator and BIG hurricanes.

The next morning we got up and headed for Wabash, IN. We finally got there around 2pm and then drove to Fort Wayne (almost Ohio) to pick up tuxes. When we got back we went to the wedding rehearsal which went really smooth. Bethany had typed out very detailed directions for everyone on how things were supposed to go. We had a really nice dinner that night in Wabash after the rehearsal. That night a bunch of Jordans friends from Grace hung out in our room with us and we all told a bunch of funny stories about Jordan.

Saturday morning we slept in and then went to the wedding. Everything was really nice and the wedding went flawlessly. Jordans Dad did the wedding which was nice. The reception was a lot of fun. We danced, chased geese, and tackled Jordan. We decided that since the ball-and-chain got brought out at my wedding that we would do it to Jordan. haha. After the wedding I got a lesson in drag racing, first from Josh and then Aaron. Josh was following me back to the hotel and we were kind of on a back road so I told him to come up next to me in his Jetta. So I said 1-2-3-GO! I got smoked. Then Aaron was like WTF! si that how you always shift?! So Aaron then took me out to a parking lot to teach me how to start and shift for a drag race. That night we went out to try and find a bar. We went to two bars and no one took plastic so we had to leave. We ended up going to a liquor store, getting some drinks, ordering and pizza, and then falling asleep by 1am. woops.

Sunday we dropped Aaron and Cassie off in Peoria and stopped in Monmouth and Galesburg to see our parents. Amys mom was watching Josie for us so we picked her up and took her out to my parents new house. She went out and played with their dogs in the pond and ran around for a couple hours.

Anyway, it was a fun weekend. It was really nice to see friends from back home, hang out with Aaron and Cassie, and see Jordan and Bethany get married.
